EVENING SESSION: Slow, still, and deep: A mindful, restful asana practice
Tuesday 8 January 2019, Hughesdale Community Centre, 160 Poath Road, Hughesdale.
Arrival from 5.30pm, Session: 6 – 9pm

Most hatha yoga reflects a bias towards the ha or heating solar energies, rather than the tha or cooling lunar energies. The focus will be on practising asana in a way that helps you chill out before you burn out. You will move slowly, remain for a longer time in a pose, listen to what your body is saying, and allow it to release more fully. Soft music will be played to lead the mind enjoyably into the present moment. The goal is to sink into a quiet state where you are content exactly where you are.

Some yoga experience is recommended. BYO yoga mat, shawl, meditation cushion. The 1.5 hour practice is followed by an organic vegan supper, and a Q&A session with Swami Asokananda.

Bookings essential as space is limited to 40 people. COST: $90
